Enhance the cooperation and harmony between Nepali members of different USG exchange programs, the people of Nepal and the United States, as well as USG alumni of other nations.

Exchange ideas and opinions among USG alumni and to promote the meaningful interaction amongst the same.

Lessons Learned

Utilize the experiences and lessons learned from USG exchange programs for the betterment of Nepal and the United States by conducting programs connected to the professional engagement of the alumni.

Preamble

The former participants of U.S. Government (USG) sponsored exchange programs have collectively prepared this constitution to form an organization named the Nepal-U.S. Alumni Network (NUSAN) with the aim of promoting professional relationships, exchanging academic ideas, and helping the public realize and utilize the benefits of the Nepal-U.S. relationship. NUSAN shall utilize the expertise, skills, knowledge, and leadership competencies of its members in pursuit of the universal principles of human rights, freedom, and good governance for the inclusive development and betterment of Nepal and its citizens.

Events & Activities

We are working on different events

Transparency and Accountability

The transparency and accountability project will highlight issues regarding fiscal transparency, accountability, and right to information. Concerned stakeholders such as the Ministry of Finance, Office of the Auditor General, and others will have opportunities to collaborate to meet the project objectives.

Disaster Risk Reduction

The disaster risk reduction project will gather professionals and common people to discuss the disaster preparedness scenario in Nepal. This will inform the public about the situation in Nepal and showcase educational video materials to help plan and mitigate major disaster effects in Nepal.

Regional Connectivity

Since there is no consolidated resource on regional connectivity in Nepal, the panel discussions and subsequent compendium of papers and commentary will attempt to bridge that gap. Concerns regarding the roads, railways, waterways, transmission line, fiber optics and recent development will be presented.

Women Entrepreneurship

The women and entrepreneurship development group will create a common platform for startups to demonstrate their minimum viable product. The program will conclude by building a network with potential investors, government and non-government representatives, future entrepreneurs, and current entrepreneurs.
