Manish Jha is a participant in the Professional Fellowship Program (PLP)-2014 and International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)-2010. He leads FACTS Research & Analytics Pvt. Ltd. as its founder & CEO. FACTS is a much visible research brand in Nepal. The company is credited for contributing to data culture in Nepal. Besides exploiting social media, it has partnered with national dailies and magazines to disseminate data. Awarded with master’s Degrees in Service Marketing, Political Science and Maithili Literature; Mr. Jha writes regularly for on socio-political and economic issues for national dailies. He is also central vice president of Nepal Hockey Association.

Dechen Hyolmo Lama, an LL.M., is passionate about gender rights. She works with Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) on a UNHCR project that supports people without legal identity. She is advocating for the right of women in Nepal to confer citizenship to their spouse and children as that of men. She recently filed a writ in the Supreme Court of Nepal regarding the birth registration right of the children. She has been engaged in various research works regarding citizenship and legal Identity in Nepal. Saroj Bista is a Community Solutions Program (CSP)- 2016 fellow. He is an advocate and the Open Data Coordinator at YoungInnovations Pvt. Ltd., where he leads projects involving open contracting and good governance through the sustainable use of technology. He has a keen interest in conducting researches. Open Data to Improve Disaster Relief in Nepal conducted by the Governance Lab and the Scoping Study on Open Contracting in Nepal conducted by Open Contracting Partnership and Hivos are some researches that he is involved. He likes to cycle off-road in his free time.

Pravina Amatya looks after Livelihood Program in Earthquake Response Operation (ERO) project supported by British Red Cross Society. She has an extensive experience of working in Administrative as well as Financial management in USAID projects. She is a US Embassy Youth Advisory Council Member – 2011 and International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)– 2013 alumna. She holds a master’s degree in Health Care Management (MHCM).

Sabitra Pariyar is a founding President of Social Peaceworkers (SPW), an NGO contributing in bridging the social divide created by caste and gender conflict. A B.A. (Rural Development), Ms. Pariyar has extensive experience of managing projects, facilitating capacity building workshops on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and advocating for Human Rights (specifically on Women and Dalits). She is well versed in dealing with issues of child sponsorship and voter’s education as well. The Department of State recognized her efforts with an opportunity for International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in 2017.

Baman Kumar Ghimire, an M.A. (English), is the Guidance Counselor/HoD (English) in Motherland Secondary School, Pokhara. Recognized with Endeavour Executive Fellowship-2014 by the Australian Government, he is also a recipient of Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program -2014, Federal Assistance Award-2016 and International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)-2017 from the Department of State. Besides, he leads GEIST International Foundation (GIF), a State-Alumni-Centered non-profit organization extended to 18 countries, as its chief coordinator (Asia-Pacific). GIF collaborates with the State Alumni to address some burning issues like STEAM Education, Health, and Girls Empowerment. Mr. Ghimire loves making research.

Kripa Sigdel is a Faculty Member at Padmakanya Multiple Campus. Besides, she is the Executive Director of ‘Psychbigyaan Network Nepal-PNN’ which she co-founded in 2015. The Gold Medalist in Master’s Degree (Psychology) in 2018 from Tribhuvan University, Ms. Sigdel is recognized for her leadership on Mental Health and Psychology in Nepal and working passionately in this field conducting researches, awareness programs, training, and workshops. She is an alumna in Studies of United States Institute (SUSI)-2014 program through which she did a short course on New Media and Journalism from the University of Washington. Niroj Shrestha, an alumnus in International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)- 2014, is an M.A. (Social Work) from Tribhuvan University. He is the Principal of Shikharapur Community Campus and a founder of Shikarapur Community Learning Center (SCLC) that has initiated A School for Community (ASC), Sustainable Farmers School (organic Farm), EcoFriendly Bottle House, etc. His areas of interest are, but not limited to, mobilizing youths in agriculture, unleashing their potentiality and engaging them in selfemployment with the use of limited community/natural resources. Lately, SCLC was recognized with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Okayama Award-2018 for its remarkable ESD practices in the community.

Pradip Khatiwada is the Founder and Executive Director at Youth Innovation Lab (YI-Lab)—a not-forprofit social enterprise. He is recognized for his leadership on anti-plastic bag movement and getting legislation on plastic bags ban and leading a Guinness World Records attempt for the ‘largest tree hug’ event. Pradip earned his Post Graduation from Tata Institute of Social Sciences -Mumbai, India with focus on Disaster Management and Livelihood Recovery. Before starting YI-Lab, he worked as the researcher at National Science Foundation’s PEER Science project at Kathmandu Living Labs. He is a recipient of International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)-2017.

Pawan Ghimire (40) is a major in the Nepal Army who became totally blind in the year 2003 as a result of past ten years of armed conflict in Nepal. As a part of his revival, he started cricket for the blind in 2006 and holds the record of initiating cricket for the blind girls for the first time in the world. For his contribution in cricket, he has been able to receive many national and international awards and recognition as well. Born in Lele, Lalitpur, he holds Master’s degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University and is also an IVLP participant of the year 2016 under the theme "Access for all, enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities".
